What’s up guys?? I want to do a product review right now on a product that I’m very, very happy about and it is the Pros Soft Bait Glue.
I want to tell you guys, I’ve been looking for a good glue to use for a while in fishing. You know you get your jigs up on the docks and skip underneath there. You go through trailers, frogs, getting damaged, the weights coming out of the bottom of the frogs, you know that’s been a problem.
I’m a big time frog fisherman and there’s always a need for some glue anyway. But this, right here, you can’t even really call it glue. Like Bill really explains – it’s really like a solder. This thing is amazing. There’s no other glue like this, from what I’ve experienced. This stuff, it sets quickly and it’s like literally a brand new bate. If you put two plastics together you can cut it in half and then glue it together or sorter it together, especially if you use the kicker which is an accessory that it comes with. It’s basically an accelerator and for soldering people you can call this like flush. This basically makes it a stronger hold and it literally seeps through anywhere literally like gasoline to a fire – it soaks that glue up all the way through a product. Like if you put this from one end of a plastic and don’t even let it drip, it literally just soaks it us. It’s pretty crazy and literally the hold is so strong I might try and get a clip of this, but if you put the accelerator on there you will actually see it smoke a little bit, like it has a little heat. I got some on my hand once and it had a little bit of accelerator on it and I felt some burn.
So this product you need to be careful with it – it’s not your Redneck glue you can just be willy nilly with it and get it all over your hands. This stuff, you put two fingers together and dip the glue – they’re stuck. And I tell you right here you basically need to take the top layer of your skin off if you get glue on there. Like I was scratching for a while to get that glue off and I was not even getting the glue off, I was literally getting the very top layer of my skin as if you brushed against something it had a little abrasion.
Don’t be scared of it though, but you do need to definitely be careful. Make sure you use this product the right way, make sure that you’re gluing down like this, apply the glue down, that’s one of the reasons the accelerator’s so good, you can put that accelerator on, you don’t have to hold it together. If whatever you’re gluing stays together, that’s all you need. Personally I’ve got some gloves that I use if I’m doing something where I know I would get some of the glue on me because I’m heavy handed like my dad and I’m going to end up getting glue all over the place.
I’ve actually got this glue, the first time I used it, I got it, I had a few drops. It comes out really quick on the bottle too. You’ll really be surprised, you don’t really need to have to squeeze it to get any out until you pretty low on the bottle.
It came out really fast and I had two drops drop on my pants. And I tell you right now I literally felt it seep through my pants and it stuck to my skin on my thigh. And I had nothing pull I just barely pulled when it come out because I got to it pretty quick, right away as soon as the draw. But I felt it seep through and literally those two drops are still there on my pants. I’ve washed them twice and I’ve messed with it a little bit trying to un-crinkle it and the glue drops are still there.
So this is some serious stuff, there’s nothing else that I’m going to buy. If you’d like to check out my review of the Mend-It versus the Soft Bate glue – check that out. I’m going to leave a link right here you can go ahead and check that out. There’s no other product I want to buy. I’ve tried Mend-It – it’s nothing like this stuff. So if you’re looking for a good glue for at least fishing.
There’s other capabilities like, for example, I had the walking, talking shoes you know you have the walking shoes where they have a part that’s coming out of the side and what not and I tell you what I used this Soft Bate Glue just recently on it, it seems to have done a real good job. All I need to do is get some new insoles and I’ll be ready to rock. Tell you what, it’s good stuff.
I’m really finding the different kinds of things you can do with this. You can repair swim bates but the biggest thing for me so far with being a frog fisherman is repairing your frogs – that’s a big deal. You check out a video on that too on my channel. I’m probably not going to link that one. But this stuff is the real deal. The applications are endless. It’s outside of fishing too, so if you’re looking for a good glue, basically a sorter. It’s really good. I’m definitely going to buy another bottle of it for sure and make sure that I always have some in my boat.
So this has been Johnny Jenkins. Hope to catch you on the water some time.
